You could NOT talk to other guests as you could NOT hear them. The kids liked it, but said it was NOT as much fun as their regular jump-time. When we arrived the lights were on, but when it was time to jump the lights went out & the DJ started playing music. We went to SkyZone for a children's GLOW birthday party. The children - age 9 both - really enjoyed it! Going to keep an eye out for groupons etc. it is right by the bathrooms so that seems like it could be a bit treacherous.Īll that said we are still looking forward to doing this again. Watch your socks at the water fountain - it seems to be a child play area and the floor is covered in water. There is a simple snack bar and a water fountain. There are lockers that require quarters and there are also shelves and cubicles. It became very crowded and I noticed 15+ participants with expired times. At 1 pm there were stickers with exit times of 1145 am still in the play areas. I mean I understand why they do it - to ensure that they do not go over capacity and to ensure people do not stay past their paid time. this is placed on the back of the "flyer". When you pay for your time you receive a sticker with your entry and exit time on it. Mostly the kids just took their lumps and moved on. This lead to a few kids getting fallen on when other children fell off the podiums or balance beam. As usual, a lot of parents weren't actively watching their children in the foam pits - neither were the attendants. The attendant eventually came back and he helped her down but she was up there for a few minutes.Įverything is clearly marked and some activities are for ages 6 and up. Her Mom was trying but was to short to reach her legs to help guide her down. At one point there was a kid who was barely six stuck at the top of the wall jump and couldn't manage the fireman's pole to get down. My only issue was that the attendant for basketball and the attendant for the wall jump/climb kept leaving. It was very crowded but we went during what I would think is a prime time - noon on a Saturday. there is a small section for smaller kids 6 and under - although I would not recommend this place during free jump for 6 and under. even a little platform on one side to jump down onto a trampoline for extra bounce. The main court was great - one kid per square and they have mats up the wall at a tilt so you can jump off those as well. Dodge ball had a wait but this was because they had one court reserved so only one was open for free play/jump. You will have to wait in line for the "activity" courts such as dodge ball, basketball, and wall jump. They are certainly willing to accommodate if you just ask! A nice addition was that I could add 30 more minutes of jump time for $5 per jumper. How is the jump time? The party was allowed to jump from 9:30 to 10:30 but being so early on a Sat, there were some peole that didn't arrive until 10:00 am leaving only 30 minutes for them to jump. The front counter attendant was expecting us and handled our guests well. They tend to allow you to "bend" the rules as long as you stay safe to ensure you are having fun. How is the staff? The staff were all helpful. Even so, the "extras" selection is decent and the pizza was ok. I certainly am not going to skyzone for the food, but I am going for the fun. Also the price package is substantially cheaper! (About 50% cheaper). The timing is odd (9:30 am on a Sat) but the crowd is minimum and (softly) restricted to 5 year olds only until 10 am. Make sure to tell them at time of reservation if your child is age 5 or under and opt for a toddler time birthday party. How is the price? We recently had my daughters 4th birthday party here. The place is also clean and well maintained. We have frequented this skyzone for summer camps for my older two children and have always been treated with kindness and respect.
